Congressman Joe Wilson is far and away the most frequent visitor to Beaufort County on the National scene even during non-election years and is a widely anticipated speaker at club and party meetings. A surprise visit at last month's Beaufort Area Republican Club (BARC) meeting was a pleasure and delight to everyone in attendance. "I am grateful for the strong grassroots support of so many people who share my beliefs in less government and expanded freedom," Wilson said. "People are standing with me because they understand expansion of government by the liberals in Washington is creating larger deficits, which threaten the economic stability of our country."

The Party encourages all members to examine each and every Republican candidate and support the contender of his or her choice in a spirited, polite and respectful manner. When the victor is chosen the members of the Party should back the nominee.
