If you are a card carrying, dues paying member of the Beaufort County Republican Party, we want to hear from you. Please leave a short comment here about why you are voting for your particular candidate. Please sign your real name and include your title. For example, "Nikki Haley has the better chance of beating the democrat gubernatorial candidate in November" This comment was made by Alysoun Eversole, Precinct Committeeman. "I served in the House with Gresham for 6 years where I learned first-hand that this is a man of character" This comment was made by Edie Rodgers, former State Representative. The Beaufort County Republican Party does not endorse any particular Republican candidate over another. The Party encourages all members to  examine each and every Republican candidate and support the contender of his or her choice in a spirited, polite and respectful manner. Personal attacks and gossip will not be posted. When the victor is chosen  the members of the Party should back the nominee. The following candidates are involved in the runoff this Tuesday:

Gresham Barrett and Nikki Haley for Governor

Ken Ard and Bill Connor for Lt. Governor

Elizabeth Moffley and Mick Zais for State Superintendent

Leighton Lord and Alan Wilson, Attorney General

Richard Chalk and Andy Patrick, House District 123

If you did not vote in the primary, you CAN still vote in the runoff election this Tuesday. After the election, please be a good steward and pick up all of the signs that will eventually be falling apart and littering our roads and neighborhoods.  If you are not a member of the party, please download the application on this website and join today!

In a glaring indication of how strong their standing is within the local party, Congressman Joe Wilson and Senator Jim DeMint easily won the straw poll at May's Executive Committee Meeting of the Beaufort County Republican Party.

Congressman Joe Wilson is far and away the most frequent visitor to Beaufort County on the National scene even during non-election years and is a widely anticipated speaker at club and party meetings. A surprise visit at last month's Beaufort Area Republican Club (BARC) meeting was a pleasure and delight to everyone in attendance. "I am grateful for the strong grassroots support of so many people who share my beliefs in less government and expanded freedom," Wilson said. "People are standing with me because they understand expansion of government by the liberals in Washington is creating larger deficits, which threaten the economic stability of our country."

The other results of the straw poll are as follows:

Reviewed by Pete Godbey-conservative

Read the definition of an epic lately that not only does it overcome the status quo, but can if implemented change the direction and attitude of the reader, perhaps the nation as it is now. Senator DeMint is a conservative's conservative and has written a book massive in ideology, only small in stature-pages. Who of you can find fault with a book that begins as our precious nation's Declaration of Independence and ends with the following confession of sin:
